- Start: December 1, 2026
- Duration: Ongoing
- Up to 10 days per month
- Minimum of 3 consecutive days per coverage block
- Must include one weekend: Friday at 7:00 a.m. through Monday at 7:00 a.m.
- 24-hour call with up to 6 hours of rounding in the facility
- Hospital-based, inpatient coverage only
- Approximately 6 patients per shift and 720 deliveries per year
- Department beds: 26
- Trauma level: III
- EMR: Cerner
- Support: 5 RNs
- Response time: 30 minutes
- Call ratio: 1:1
- Approximately 7–10 phone consults per 24 hours
- Approximately 6 patients seen and 1–2 admissions
- Callback: Approximately 30%
- Requirements: Board certified or board eligible, Active Alabama license or IMLC, ACLS, BLS, and PALS
- Credentialing: Approximately 30 days
