Locums – Burien, Washington, OB/GYN Job (IMLC Accepted)

Start Date: ASAP

Job Duration: 6–9 months

Schedule & Coverage

• Flexible coverage options available:

  • Clinic and call

  • Clinic only

  • Call only

• 24-hour call shifts, 7:00 AM–7:00 AM

• Approximately 2 weeks per month, with 3 shifts per week

• The facility is flexible regarding which weeks the locum provider is available

• A private call room is available onsite in Labor & Delivery

• Local candidates highly preferred

Practice Setting & Facility Details

• Inpatient and outpatient setting

• Smaller community hospital

• Approximately 100 deliveries per month

• Level I nursery

• EMR: Epic

Clinical Responsibilities

• Manage Labor & Delivery patients; no documentation required (NO DOCS)

• Provide care for vaginal deliveries and C-sections

• Triage patients as needed following RN report

• Assist CNMs and FPOBs

• Provide OB/GYN coverage for emergency department consultations

• Perform gynecologic surgeries as necessary

• The on-call physician also covers ER consultations; the ER is described as self-sufficient and low-maintenance

• One CNM and one MD/DO are always on call together

• No additional physicians are on call

Patient Volume

• Approximately 2–5 patients per day

• Typically 0–4 deliveries per call shift

Support Staff

• Labor & Delivery RNs

• CNMs

• FPOBs

• X-ray technicians

• Medical assistants

• RNs and LPNs/LVNs

• Lab technicians

Required Qualifications

• Board certification in OB/GYN highly preferred

• Truly board-eligible candidates required

• Active Washington medical license or IMLC accepted

• BLS certification required

• DEA required
