OB/GYN Physician – Locum Tenens – Virginia

Position Overview

We are seeking a Board-Certified OB/GYN Physician for locum tenens coverage in Virginia. The ideal candidate must be available for the specified coverage dates and have recent experience providing obstetric and gynecologic care, including deliveries and cesarean sections.

Schedule & Coverage

• Shift Type: 24-hour call

• Shift Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM

• Coverage Dates: As specified below

• Weekend Coverage: Required

• On-Call Coverage: Required

• Number of Physicians Needed: 1

• Availability: Must be available for the listed coverage dates.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) — required

• Active Virginia medical license — required

• Active Virginia DEA and CSR — required

• ABOG certification — required

• Current BLS certification — required

• Current ACLS certification — required

• Must be able to provide 24-hour call coverage.

• Must provide procedure logs during credentialing documenting at least 50 deliveries within the past 12 months, including at least 15 cesarean sections.

• Must provide a self-query NPDB report at the time of presentation.

• Clean background and malpractice history required for consideration for temporary privileges.

• Must confirm availability for all required coverage dates at the time of presentation.
