Locums | OB/GYN | Foley, AL (AL license or IMLC) Why This Role

  • Up to 10 days/month, ongoing
  • 24-hour call with flexible coverage blocks
  • Approximately 720 deliveries/year
Assignment Details Start/end: December 2026 – ongoing Schedule: Up to 10 days/month; minimum 3 consecutive days Weekend requirement: At least one Friday 7a–Monday 7a block Coverage type: 24-hour Beeper Call + Inpatient Rounding Onsite rounding: Up to 6 hours/day Call response time: 30 minutes Call ratio: 1:1 Volume: Approximately 6 patients/shift, 7–10 phone consults, and 1–2 admissions Setting: Hospital-based OB/GYN; 26-bed department, Level III trauma center Deliveries: Approximately 720/year Support: 5 RNs; Family Medicine residents on night float EMR: Cerner Credentialing: Approximately 30 days; temporary privileges available Clinical Details Inpatient OB/GYN rounding and admissions Emergency Department OB/GYN consultations Low- and high-risk pregnancy management Routine and complicated vaginal deliveries C-sections and operative vaginal deliveries Breech deliveries, multiple births, and VBAC Fetal heart rate monitoring and interpretation Level I and Level II obstetric ultrasound Amniocentesis Management of placental abruption Repair of third- and fourth-degree lacerations Open and laparoscopic GYN surgery, including major procedures Emergency gynecologic surgical care Family Medicine resident teaching/supervision Robotic GYN surgery experience preferred No outpatient clinic responsibilities Requirements Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN Active AL medical license or IMLC ACLS required BLS required PALS required Comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic surgical experience Proficiency in high-risk deliveries, C-sections, and emergency GYN procedures Comfortable with 24-hour call and daytime rounding Minimum 3 consecutive days of availability, including weekend coverage Compensation Rate negotiable, open to your number Malpractice provided Travel and lodging reimbursed
