Locums | OB/GYN Laborist | Fargo, ND (ND or IMLC) Why This Role

  • Call-only Laborist coverage
  • 24-hour shifts
  • Ongoing need through 2027
  • 3-4 shifts/month preferred
  • Temporary privileges available
Assignment Details Start: November 2026, once credentialed Duration: Ongoing, currently authorized through September 1, 2027 Schedule: 24-hour call shifts Preferred availability: 3-4 shifts/month, weekdays preferred Minimum 24 hours off between shifts Coverage type: Call Only Setting: Inpatient Labor & Delivery Approximately 120 deliveries/month 16 labor/delivery/postpartum rooms 1 dedicated OB operating room Physicians perform approximately 65% of deliveries Midwife collaboration required EMR: Epic Credentialing: 45-120 days; temporary privileges available Open Coverage Dates November 2026: 20, 23-29 December 2026: 3, 8, 14, 23-31 January 2027: 1-3 Must be available for at least half of the listed open shifts to be considered Additional ongoing coverage anticipated Clinical Details Low- and high-risk obstetrics Routine vaginal and complicated deliveries Cesarean sections, including emergency decision-making VBACs, breech deliveries, multiples, and placental abruptions Low-forceps deliveries Fetal heart rate interpretation OB ultrasound performance and interpretation, including Level I screening Repair of 3rd- and 4th-degree lacerations Office/minor gynecologic procedures Open and laparoscopic gynecologic surgery, including major operative procedures Inpatient admissions and obstetric management Requirements ABMS/AOA Board Certified in OB/GYN requested Active ND license or IMLC with current LOQ Comfortable managing VBACs and cesarean deliveries Comfortable collaborating with midwives Epic experience strongly preferred Must meet minimum shift availability requirements Compensation Rate caps apply per facility Malpractice provided Travel and lodging reimbursed
