Shift Details:

• Schedule Details: 24-Hour Call
  • Providers must be able to offer a minimum of 3 consecutive days of coverage per block. Additionally, the coverage must include at least one full weekend per month (Friday at 7:00 AM through Monday at 7:00 AM).
• Number of Shifts Needed per Month: Minimum of 3 consecutive days of coverage per block, including at least one full weekend per month (Friday 7:00 AM through Monday 7:00 AM). OB-GYN coverage needed for up to 10 days per month.
• Procedures:
  • The 24-hour call shift includes up to 6 hours of rounding in the facility during the day.
  • Rounding on patients during the day and accepting attached/unassigned and ER patients during the shift. The provider will be treating an underserved patient population. ER call responsibilities explicitly include handling GYN emergencies.
• Certifications Needed: ACLS; BLS; PALS
• Patient Population/Case Load: 6 patients per shift; approximately 720 deliveries per year
• Case Mix: 100% Inpatient
• EMR in Use: Cerner
• Number of Beds: 26

Licensing and Privileging:

• License: An active Alabama state license or an IMLC membership is required.
• Willing to License: No
• Estimated Privileging Timeline: 30 days
