Locum Tenens OB/GYN Physician – 24-Hour Hospital Call Coverage

We are seeking a dependable OB/GYN physician to provide 24-hour hospital call coverage in Warrenton, VA. This is a great opportunity for a physician who enjoys providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care in a hospital setting.

Schedule & Coverage Dates

24-hour shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM

Available dates:

• December 1, 2, 29, and 31

Multiple providers are welcome to help cover the schedule. Some shifts may have a midwife serving as first call.

Responsibilities

• Provide OB/GYN hospital call coverage

• Evaluate obstetric and gynecologic patients in triage

• Manage labor and delivery

• Provide recovery and postpartum care

• Perform emergency obstetric and gynecologic surgeries as needed

• Respond to in-house, phone/beeper, and TigerText calls

Patient volume varies, with approximately 0–12 patients per day. Call-back hours may range from none to 15 hours, depending on patient needs.

Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible OB/GYN physician, as applicable to facility requirements

• Experience managing labor and delivery and performing emergency OB/GYN procedures

• Ability to provide comprehensive inpatient obstetric and gynecologic care

• Familiarity with Meditech is helpful

• Hospital-based inpatient coverage

• No teaching responsibilities

• Temporary privileges may be available

• Credentialing timeline depends on how quickly required documentation is submitted
