Job description
A healthcare facility in Arizona is seeking a Locums Obstetrician-Gynecologist to support ongoing women’s health coverage across clinic, inpatient rounding, and call. This OB/GYN Physician assignment is driven by patient volume and supports a broad scope of obstetric and gynecologic care.
The clinical need includes prenatal and postnatal care, high-risk pregnancy management, gynecology clinics, and gynecologic surgery. The site also requires C-section capability and experience with simple family planning procedures such as tubal ligation (note: the facility will not perform elective pregnancy termination, per the Vacancy record).
The EMR for this Gynecologist/Obstetrician coverage need is Meditech. Call is required and includes weeknight and weekend coverage.
Job Responsibilities
Manage high-risk pregnancies
Perform inpatient rounding as needed
Provide gynecology clinic coverage
Perform gynecologic surgery as clinically indicated
Perform Cesarean sections
Perform simple family planning surgeries (e.g., tubal ligation)
Participate in required call coverage (weeknights/weekends)
Qualifications
Active Arizona license (record notes indicate ability to work while license is pending; must apply within 3 months)
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
Ability to take call (required)
Experience across both obstetrics and gynecology, including C-sections and gyn procedures listed above
Working Hours
8:00a–5:00p
Clinic + inpatient rounding + call
Call: 10 shifts per month (weeknights and weekends)
