Shift Details
-- 24 hour 7a-7a week day shifts available after a few 12 hour shifts (7a-7p or 7p-7a) are successfully completed
-- At least 7 shifts open per week: 5, 12 hour night shifts and 2, 12 hour weekend shifts available OR an equal amount of 24 hour shifts
-- Open to one 24-hour weekend shift Saturday or Sunday
-- Orientation shift available

Requirements
-- Board certified
-- Minimum 3 years of experience (they are seeking experienced candidates due to the high volume nature of the assignment)

Required Procedures / Skills
-- Focused in labor and delivery with additional help as needed in OB ED

Assignment Details
-- Full-time or part-time locum tenens opportunity
-- Exclusive OB ED coverage working alongside APPs and an attending physician for cross coverage
-- 50 shifts per month
-- Approximately 7,000 deliveries per year
-- Approximately 40 OB ED cases per day
-- Support staff includes 20 midwives
-- Maternal Fetal Medicine is not always in-house but is always on call
-- Anesthesia support is available 24/7
-- Maternal Care Level 4
-- Facility Trauma Level 4
-- Supervision required for medical students, residents, fellows, midwives, and other providers
-- Advance Practice Provider supervision required
-- Resident and teaching supervision required
-- Provider must remain onsite for the entire shift and be fully focused on the hospital's patients
-- Provider cannot be on call for their private practice group while working the assignment
-- Full and temporary privileges available
-- Candidates outside Michigan are accepted
-- No geographic restrictions
-- Reason for coverage: change in care model in the unit
