Locums | OB/GYN Laborist | Fargo, ND (ND license or IMLC)
Why This Role
ND license or IMLC accepted
24-hour laborist shifts
Weekday coverage preferred
Temporary privileges available
Dedicated OB operating room
Assignment Details
ASAP once credentialed; listed assignment November 19, 2026–September 1, 2027
Open shifts November 2026: 20 and 23–29
Open shifts December 2026: 3, 8, 14, and 23–31
Open shifts January 2027: 1–3
Call-only coverage in 24-hour shifts
Approximately 3–4 shifts monthly preferred
At least 24 hours off between shifts
Availability for at least half the listed openings requested; schedule adjustments may be possible
Call location to be confirmed; 30-minute response required
Inpatient laborist coverage, including admissions
Approximately 120 deliveries monthly; physicians perform about 65%
16 labor/delivery/postpartum rooms and 1 dedicated OB operating room
Collaboration with midwives; no APP or teaching supervision required

Credentialing: approximately 45–120 days
Clinical Details
Low- and high-risk pregnancy management
Fetal heart rate interpretation and screening OB ultrasound
Vaginal and low-forceps deliveries
C-sections, VBACs, and complicated deliveries, including breech, multiples, and abruptions
Repair of third- and fourth-degree lacerations
Minor gynecologic procedures
Open and laparoscopic gynecologic surgery, including major operative laparoscopy
Amniocentesis and targeted anatomic ultrasound not required
Requirements
BC in OB/GYN
Active North Dakota license or IMLC
Comfortable collaborating with midwives
Epic experience strongly preferred
