Low patient volume
No APP or teaching supervision
Assignment Details
Dates: December 23–24, 2026
Schedule: Beeper call; 20-minute response required
Coverage: Inpatient OB/GYN call, including admissions and assigned-patient rounding
Volume: 2–3 patients per shift; approximately 3–4 phone consults and 2 admissions
Setting: Inpatient; 6 department beds
Support: 3 RNs, 1 NP/PA, and 1 office staff member
EMR: MEDHOST
Credentialing: Approximately 45 days
Clinical Details
Required: Low- and high-risk pregnancy management, vaginal deliveries, C-section decision-making and performance, complicated deliveries, breech deliveries, and multiple births
Preferred: Fetal heart rate interpretation, OB ultrasound, amniocentesis, low-forceps deliveries, abruption management, and third- and fourth-degree laceration repair
Preferred: Office/minor gynecology and open or laparoscopic gynecologic surgery
VBAC experience not required
Requirements
BC/BE in Obstetrics and Gynecology
Active TN license or IMLC
Current BLS and PALS
Active DEA
