Why This Role
One call week approximately every fifth week
24/7 hospital coverage
Defined assignment through January 2027
Two NPs supporting the service
Approximately four deliveries per day
Assignment Details
Dates: Anticipated to begin in September 2026 and continue through January 2, 2027
Schedule: 24-hour OB/GYN call coverage for one week approximately every fifth week
Coverage type: Hospital call with weekends
Volume: Approximately four deliveries per day
Setting: Inpatient labor and delivery, emergency, and surgical coverage
Support: Two NPs
EMR: Cerner
Clinical Details
Labor and delivery coverage
Low-risk pregnancy management
Vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
VBAC management
Repair of third- and fourth-degree lacerations
OB ultrasound and amniocentesis
Acute and urgent surgical coverage
Emergency clinic consultations when hospital admission may be required
Requirements
Board certification in OB/GYN required
Active Michigan license required
At least two years of OB/GYN experience required
Local candidates preferred
Active DEA requirement
