Locums | OB/GYN | Colorado Springs, CO (CO license or IMLC)

Assignment Details
Coverage Window: January–April 2027; exact dates to be confirmed
Weeknight Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 PM–7:00 AM
Weekend Schedule: Friday, 5:00 PM–Monday, 7:00 AM
Coverage Need: Three weeks of weeknight coverage and three weekends; allocation to be confirmed
Call: Offsite pager call providing primary OB/GYN coverage and backup to the OB hospitalist team
Commitment: Full accepted coverage stints required
Coverage Type: Call, admissions, deliveries, emergency surgery and daily rounding
Volume: Approximately 60 deliveries monthly; significant onsite time may be needed during call
Setting: Inpatient; Level III trauma facility and NICU; 12 L&D beds
Support: L&D RNs, OB emergency department and in-house anesthesia
Resources: Onsite lab and ultrasound
EMR: Epic
Credentialing: 90–120 days
Clinical Details
Obstetrics: Low- and high-risk pregnancy management, antepartum admissions and fetal heart rate interpretation, including NST/CST/FSE
Labor and Delivery: Vaginal and low-forceps deliveries, C-sections, breech and multiple births, abruptions, VBACs and third-/fourth-degree laceration repair
Gynecology: ED consults and emergent open surgery, including ectopic pregnancy, oophorectomy, cystectomy and extensive lysis of adhesions
Additional Scope: Suction D&C and management of cesarean complications, including hysterectomy
Requirements
BC in OB/GYN required
Completed OB/GYN residency
Active CO license or IMLC
ACLS, BLS and NRP highly preferred
Active DEA required for credentialing and maintained throughout the assignment
Ability to perform all required procedures
