Assignment Details
November 2026: 20–21, 23–24, and 29
December 2026: 11–13, 18, 20–22, 26, and 28–31
Ongoing January 2027 dates to be determined
24-hour in-house call, 8 a.m.–8 a.m.
Approximately 5–10 shifts monthly; weekdays and weekends
Preference for one provider covering as many listed dates as possible; multiple providers accepted
OB hospitalist coverage: labor and delivery, ED, and inpatient OB/GYN consultations
Approximately 3–5 patients per shift; 364 deliveries annually per physician
Level II trauma hospital
Support includes 7 RNs and 5 PA/NPs; 24/7 tertiary consultation available
On-campus call room
Epic
Credentialing: approximately 30 days
Clinical Details
Low- and high-risk pregnancy management
Fetal heart rate interpretation and screening OB ultrasound
Routine vaginal and low-forceps deliveries
C-sections and complicated deliveries, including breech, multiples, abruptions, and VBACs
Repair of third- and fourth-degree lacerations
Open surgical gynecology and diagnostic/minor laparoscopy
Supervision and backup for Family Medicine and CNM deliveries
Response to obstetric emergencies
Major operative laparoscopy preferred
No office coverage; amniocentesis and targeted anatomic ultrasound not required
Requirements
BC in OB/GYN required
Active California license required
Active DEA
