Locums | OB/GYN Laborist | Modesto, CA (Active CA license required) Why This Role

  • Call-only laborist coverage
  • Ongoing need beginning in December
  • Two locums providers requested
  • No VBAC requirement
  • 30‚Äì60-day credentialing timeframe
Assignment Details Start date: December 2026 Duration: Ongoing Coverage type: Call only Call type: Beeper Call rotation: 1:4 Required response time: Seven minutes Callback rate: Approximately 25% Setting: Inpatient Average volume: 10–15 patients per shift Admissions required Department beds: Three Annual deliveries: Approximately 150 EMR: Cerner Clinical Responsibilities Manage low-risk pregnancies High-risk pregnancy experience preferred Interpret NST, CST and FSE Perform and interpret Level I obstetric ultrasounds Manage routine vaginal and complicated deliveries Perform low-forceps deliveries and C-sections Manage breech presentations and abruptions Repair third- and fourth-degree lacerations Perform office and minor gynecologic procedures Perform open, laparoscopic and major gynecologic surgery VBACs and amniocentesis are not required Requirements Board Certified in OB/GYN Active California license Current BLS and PALS Must provide 100 case logs immediately Must have December availability and capacity for ongoing coverage No APP or resident supervision required Credentialing & Facility Policies Credentialing timeframe: Approximately 30–60 days Temporary privileges are not available Hospital-issued scrubs must be worn while on duty Natural nails are required Artificial nails, including acrylics, gels, wraps, overlays, tips and extensions, are not permitted
