### Locums | OB/GYN Call Coverage | Hazard, KY (KY License or IMLC) ### Why This Role Provide call-only OB/GYN coverage in a low-volume inpatient setting with approximately 250 annual deliveries. There is no clinic responsibility, and the assignment consists of two defined holiday coverage blocks. ### Assignment Details

  • Assignment is limited to two specific coverage blocks
  • Call only; no clinic
  • Inpatient setting
  • Beeper call with a 30-minute response time
  • Approximately two patients per shift
  • Approximately one phone consultation per shift
  • Approximately two admissions per shift
  • Approximately 10% call-back rate
  • Five-bed department
  • Two RNs available for support
  • MediTech EMR
  • No APP supervision or teaching responsibilities
  • Credentialing timeframe: Approximately 30 days
  • Temporary privileges are not available ###
Coverage Dates November 24, 2026: Orientation Coverage through November 30, 2026, at 7:00 a.m. December 22, 2026: Orientation Coverage through December 28, 2026, at 7:00 a.m. ### Required Clinical Skills Low-risk pregnancy management Fetal heart rate interpretation Level I and Level II obstetrical ultrasound Vaginal and cesarean delivery Low-forceps delivery Breech and multiple-birth management Placental abruption management VBAC Repair of third- and fourth-degree lacerations Office and minor gynecologic procedures Open and laparoscopic gynecologic surgery Emergency operative gynecology, including ectopic pregnancy and ovarian procedures ### Preferred Skills Genetic amniocentesis ### Requirements Board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology Active Kentucky medical license or IMLC eligibility Current ABLS, ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications Current competency in routine and complicated deliveries Comfortable performing emergency gynecologic surgery Available for at least one complete coverage block
