Locums OB Hospitalist coverage is needed in Michigan for inpatient Obstetrics and Gynecology with 24 hour in house call and a defined set of coverage blocks starting in late January 2027.
Highlights
- 24 hour all inclusive in house call coverage with a 10 minute response expectation to the ED and L&D
- Defined block dates provided, helpful if you are planning your 2027 calendar early
- Inpatient only, scheduled hours are call only
- Average volume is 4.3 patients per day
Practice Setting
- Inpatient OB and GYN coverage
- Adult patient population
- Support includes 6 to 8 RNs per day, no PA or NP support listed
- Admissions are part of the role
Schedule
- 24 hour in house call, all inclusive
- 1/28 (8a-4p) Orientation, 1/29(7a)-2/1(7a), 2/26(7a)-3/1(7a), 3/26(7a)-3/29(7a), 4/2(7a)-4/5(7a)
- Average call volume is 8 per day, about 55 per week
- Orientation day is scheduled prior to the first coverage block
- Multiple coverage blocks are listed across early 2027
Cases and Procedures
- Bread and butter OB and GYN
- Emergent GYN
- Routine OB and GYN procedures
Requirements
- Must be an MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Michigan license required, facility will not wait for a license
- BLS and DEA required
