This opportunity involves both obstetric and gynecologic call responsibilities, including phone consultations, patient evaluations, admissions, and management of routine and complicated deliveries. The physician must be able to respond within 20 minutes when required.

Call Responsibilities: Both OB and GYN
Required Response Time: 20 minutes
Call Ratio: 1:3
Average Daily Call Volume:
Phone consultations: 3-4
Patients seen: Approximately 3
Admissions: Approximately 2
Callback Rate: Approximately 40%
Department Beds: 6
Average Patient Volume: 2-3 patients per shift
Practice Setting: Inpatient
Low-risk and high-risk pregnancies
Routine vaginal deliveries
Complicated deliveries
C-section decision-making and cesarean deliveries
Breech presentations
Multiple births
Patient evaluations, phone consultations, and admissions
Rounding on assigned patients
Active Tennessee medical license or eligibility through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)
Current BLS and PALS certifications
Experience managing routine and high-risk obstetric cases
EMR: MEDHOST
Staffing Support: 3 RNs, 1 PA/NP, and 1 office staff member
Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 45 days
Malpractice Insurance: Covered
No resident or teaching supervision is required.

Qualifications
