Location: NC
Schedule: Call coverage (not required to remain on-site; response time within 30 minutes)
Position Overview
Provide OB/GYN call coverage including nights and weekends as part of a shared call schedule.
Coverage Needed
7:00 AM on 11/25/2026 through 7:00 AM on 11/30/2026
Five 24-hour call shifts
Clinical Scope Highlights
Procedures may include C-section, hysterectomy, circumcision, postpartum tubal, vaginal delivery, D&C, and laparotomy for ectopic pregnancy
Inpatient census: approximately 6 patients per day with 2 - 3 OB checks per day
Deliveries: approximately 30 - 40 per month
Surgical cases: approximately 14 per month
EMR: Epic (HealthSpan)
Required Qualifications
MD/DO
Board Certified in OB/GYN
Active North Carolina medical license (in hand)
Active North Carolina DEA (in hand)
BLS and NRP certifications required
Must be credentialed within the applicable health system prior to the coverage period
Candidates must have at least two years of clinical experience within the past five years to qualify.
