A hospital in the Socorro, NM area is looking for an OB/GYN for clinic and call coverage in blocks from October 19 through November 30, 2026, with more dates being added. Pay is $3,080 per 24-hour day. Weekday clinic runs 8:00am to 5:00pm, with night call from 5:00pm to 8:00am and weekend call from Friday 5:00pm to Monday 8:00am. The practice averages 8 to 10 deliveries a month, a 21 percent C-section rate, and fewer than 15 clinic patients a day, mostly low risk. You work with 2 OB/GYNs, an RN, an MA, and a C-section assist when on call. Epic. Travel and lodging are covered.
Job Responsibilities
- Cover night and weekend call, including deliveries and C-sections
- Manage routine and complicated deliveries, FHR interpretation, and OB ultrasounds
- Perform gynecologic surgery from minor laparoscopic to major operative cases
- Document in Epic
Qualifications
- Ability to obtain a New Mexico license
- Case logs for the past 12 months showing at least 50 vaginal deliveries, 20 C-sections, and 25 gynecologic surgical procedures including 5 major abdominal cases
- Immunization requirements and an offsite drug screen before the start date
