A 99-bed acute care hospital in the Cottonwood, AZ area is looking for an OB/GYN for 24-hour call coverage in six three-day blocks, running Friday 7:00am to Monday 7:00am: Jan 1 to Jan 4, Feb 5 to Feb 8, Apr 2 to Apr 5, Jun 11 to Jun 14, Jul 9 to Jul 12, and Jul 30 to Aug 2, 2027. Call pays $2,194.50 per 24-hour day, which is $6,583.50 per block, and callback pays $256.03 per hour. Census is light, averaging 0 to 1 patients with 0 to 1 deliveries per shift. Travel, lodging, and rental car are reimbursed. A short, paid remote Cerner orientation is scheduled the week before you start. Credentialing takes about 30 days.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage deliveries and OB/GYN needs as they come in, typically 0 to 1 deliveries per shift
- Respond to callbacks, averaging 0 to 2 per shift with 2 to 6 hours of callback time
- Cover for the nurse midwife when needed
- Document in Cerner
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience
- Active Arizona license, or an IMLC license
- DEA registration
- COVID and flu vaccination required; medical and religious exemptions and declinations are allowed
