We’re seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible OB/GYN for a locums opportunity in a beautiful central coast location. This is a great opportunity for a physician looking for a balanced clinic and hospital-based assignment with a strong support team and a Level III NICU with in-house anesthesia.
Assignment Highlights
- Clinic + OB Call
- Location: Santa Maria, CA
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Call: Approximately 5–6 24-hour calls/month
- Call Hours: 7:30 AM–7:30 AM, any day of the week
- Post-Call: Day off following 24-hour call
- Clinic Volume: Approximately 20–24 patients/day
- Delivery Volume: Approximately 3–4 deliveries per 24-hour call
- Start: ASAP upon completion of credentialing
- EMR: Athena (clinic) / Cerner (hospital)
- Level III NICU + In-House Anesthesia
Clinical Scope
The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing a broad range of OB/GYN cases, including:
- High-risk deliveries
- VBACs
- Cesarean sections
- D&Cs
- Hysterectomies
- LEEP procedures
- Colposcopies
- IUD and Nexplanon placement/removal
- General OB/GYN clinic care
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN
- Experience with high-risk deliveries and VBACs required
- Active California license
- Comfortable providing both clinic and inpatient OB coverage
