A 99-bed hospital in the Cottonwood, Arizona area, in the Verde Valley near Sedona, needs an OB/GYN for 24-hour in-house call, in three-day Friday to Monday blocks scheduled through next summer. $2,194.50 for each 24-hour call day, with callbacks at $256.03 an hour. Your flights, lodging, and rental car are reimbursed.

Job Responsibilities

24-hour in-house OB/GYN call, 7am to 7am, at a Level IV trauma center. It is a quiet service: usually 0 or 1 deliveries per shift, 0 to 2 callbacks, and an average census of 0 to 1. You also cover for the nurse midwife if there is a need. Cerner EMR, with a short remote training before your first shift.

Qualifications

Board certified or board eligible in OB/GYN, with at least 1 year of experience and a DEA. An Arizona license, or an IMLC letter of qualification. The hospital will license a provider for dates four or more months out. Recent case logs, a clean malpractice history, and COVID and flu vaccination status are required, with exemptions reviewed case by case. Credentialing takes about 30 days.

Working Hours

24-hour in-house call, 7am to 7am, in these blocks: Jan 1 to 4, Feb 5 to 8, Apr 2 to 5, Jun 11 to 14, Jul 9 to 12, and Jul 30 to Aug 2. Take one block or several.
