Locums – Colorado Springs, Colorado OB/GYN Hospitalist Job (IMLC Accepted)

Start Date: 01/01/2027

Schedule & Call:

• 5p–7a night call Monday–Thursday

• Weekend call: Friday 5p–Monday 7a

• Weekend requirements: Yes – 3 weekends

• On-call requirements: Yes – night call

• Coverage needs total 3 weeks and 3 weekends

• All call coverage is primary call coverage

Setting:

• Inpatient

• Level III Trauma

• NICU

• 12 L&D beds

• Approximately 60 deliveries per month

• In-house anesthesia

• Fully staffed hospital with Labor & Delivery RNs

• Obstetric Emergency Department (OB ED)

Worksite Resources:

• Lab onsite

• Ultrasound onsite

• EMR: Epic

Required Obstetrics Procedures:

• Low-risk pregnancies, including patients with pre-existing problems, history of twins, history of toxemia, pyelonephritis, hyperemesis, etc.

• High-risk pregnancies, including patients with toxemia, diabetes, Class II or higher cardiac conditions, chronic lung problems, chronic renal disease, etc.

• FHR interpretation – NST / CST / FSE

Required Labor & Delivery Procedures:

• Routine delivery, including vaginal delivery, low forceps, and decision-making for C-section

• Complicated deliveries, including C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions, etc.

• VBACs

• Repair of 3rd- and 4th-degree lacerations

• Suction D&C

• Management of cesarean complications, including hysterectomy

Required Gynecology Procedures:

• Open gynecologic surgery (operative/major, including diagnostic)

• Ectopic pregnancy

• Ovarian removal

• Cystectomy

• Extensive lysis of adhesions (LOA)

Qualifications:

• Board Certified OB/GYN

• OB/GYN residency required

• Active CO license or IMLC accepted

• Active DEA

Certification Requirements:

• ACLS

• BLS

• NRP
