- ASAP - Ongoing
- Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call - Beeper Call
- Blocks: 10-14 day stretches with rotating call and available clinic shifts
- Clinic hours: Mon-Thu 8a-5p; Fri 8a-12p
- On-call provider assists in clinic for urgent daytime matters
- Volumes: Clinic 15-20 patients/day; facility ~30-40 deliveries/month
- Team: Clinic staffed by 1 perm physician, 3 NPs, and nursing support
- Setting: Department has 10 beds; no NICU (neonates requiring higher level care are Life Flighted to Iowa City or Des Moines)
- Systems: Meditech (hospital), Athena (clinics)
- Facility designations: Trauma level 0; Pediatrics level 2
- Required Skills: FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE); routine vaginal deliveries
- EMR System: MediTech / Athena
- Certifications: IA license or IMLC, BC, ACLS, ABLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS, DEA
- Credentialing: ~30 days; start upon completion
