Protean Med is seeking a Board-Certified OB/GYN Physician for offsite primary call coverage supporting the OB/GYN team in Colorado Springs, CO.

🏥 Inpatient | Level III Trauma | NICU
📞 Primary Offsite Call Coverage
🌙 Weeknight Call: Mon–Thurs, 5 PM–7 AM
📅 Weekend Call: Friday 5 PM–Monday 7 AM
📌 Coverage Needed: 3 Full Weeks + 3 Full Weekends

What You'll Cover
- Antepartum patient evaluation and management
- Labor & delivery
- Gyn ED consultations
- Emergent gynecologic surgeries
- Daily rounding
- Backup call to OBHG
- Primary OB/GYN call coverage
Required Experience & Procedures
Obstetrics & Labor/Delivery:
✅ Low- and high-risk pregnancies
✅ FHR interpretation — NST/CST/FSE
✅ Routine vaginal deliveries
✅ Low forceps
✅ C-section decision-making and complicated C-sections
✅ Breech and multiple births
✅ VBACs
✅ Placental abruptions
✅ 3rd & 4th degree laceration repairs
Gynecology:
✅ Ectopic pregnancy surgery
✅ Oophorectomy
✅ Cystectomy
✅ Extensive lysis of adhesions
✅ Suction D&C
✅ Management of cesarean complications, including hysterectomy
Requirements
✅ Board Certified in OB/GYN
✅ OB/GYN Residency
✅ Active Colorado license or IMLC with LOQ
✅ Able to perform all required OB/GYN procedures
✅ ACLS, BLS & NRP highly preferred
✅ Active DEA highly preferred
✅ Clean malpractice & background
✅ Recent NPDB Self-Query
✅ Local/drive-in candidates highly preferred
⏱ Credentialing: Approximately 90–120 days
