Job description
Provides comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care to women of all ages, including preventive care, routine examinations, pregnancy care, reproductive health services, diagnosis and treatment of gynecological conditions, prenatal and postpartum care, and patient education. Works collaboratively with healthcare professionals to provide compassionate, safe, and high-quality women’s healthcare.
Job Responsibilities
• Diagnose and treat women’s reproductive health conditions
• Provide prenatal, pregnancy, and postpartum care
• Provide routine gynecological and preventive healthcare services
• Counsel patients regarding reproductive health, family planning, and wellness
• Order, interpret, and follow up on laboratory and diagnostic tests
• Provide referrals and coordinate care with specialists when needed
• Provide telephone consultation to patients and families as necessary
• Maintain accurate medical records, reports, and clinical documentation
• Participate in after-hours coverage, weekend call, and/or hospital rounds
• Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners, Nurse Midwives, Physician Assistants, and other healthcare professionals
• Participate in quality improvement, staff education, and community health programs
Qualifications
• Active Missouri medical license in good standing required
• DEA and BNDD registrations required
• Medicare and Medicaid provider enrollment required
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology preferred
• Completion of an accredited OB/GYN residency program preferred
• Experience or strong interest in an urban community health setting preferred
• Strong communication, patient-care, and teamwork skills
