Med Ninjas is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible OB/GYN Physician for locum tenens coverage at an acute care hospital located in Dover, Ohio.
The Physician must be available for the coverage period beginning November 1, 2026. The job duration is listed as 13, with the unit not specified.
Ongoing coverage is needed, with approximately 1–2 weeks per month.
This assignment includes inpatient obstetric and gynecological care, labor and delivery coverage, postpartum rounding, spontaneous deliveries, scheduled C-sections, and ER coverage when assigned.

Locum Tenens Physician – Obstetrics/Gynecology | Dover, OH

Shift: 24-hour coverage, 7:00 AM–7:00 AM; approximately 1–2 weeks per month
Start Date: 11/01/2026
End Date: (ongoing coverage)
Position Details: Solo OB/GYN coverage for labor and delivery, inpatient care, and ER coverage on assigned unassigned-call days. Daily rate includes 8 hours of onsite work and overnight beeper call, according to the facility details.
Patient Population: Adults
Setting: Inpatient and outpatient; primarily inpatient coverage, with no clinic on 24-hour weekday call shifts
Responsibilities: Postpartum rounding, spontaneous deliveries, scheduled C-sections, labor and delivery management, and ER coverage when assigned
Required Procedures: All OB/GYN procedures, including C-sections and GYN surgeries
EMR System: Epic
Support Staff: Nurses, midwives, and the ability to call in another provider to assist with surgeries
Days Per Month: Approximately 1–2 weeks per month
On-Call/Weekends: 24-hour call, solo coverage. Weekend coverage may be required; no scheduled cases on weekends.

Required Procedures and Skills

• Labor and delivery management, including spontaneous deliveries
• High-risk obstetric case management as specified in the posting
• Cesarean sections, including prescheduled procedures
• Postpartum patient rounding
• OB/GYN procedures and ER gynecological call coverage when assigned
• Laparoscopic and minimally invasive GYN surgeries
• Circumcisions are a plus
• NRP certification required for newborn coverage

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics/Gynecology. Board certification is required after 5 years of practice; Board Eligible candidates may be considered with less than 5 years of practice.
• Active Ohio medical license required; IMLC or willing-to-license candidates are not accepted in the listed requirements.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• DEA required
• NRP certification required
• Clean background required
• Two professional references with names and contact information must be submitted
