A well-established not-for-profit hospital in the Hudson Valley is seeking a skilled OB/GYN Physician to join its team at its Cornwall, New York campus.

This is a full-time, hospital-based opportunity offering comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care in a collaborative clinical environment. The physician will provide care across the continuum, including prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum services, general and complex gynecology, surgical and procedural care, and labor and delivery call coverage.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities
Obstetric Care
Provide comprehensive prenatal care throughout pregnancy.
Manage intrapartum and postpartum care.
Evaluate and manage routine and complex obstetric conditions.
Participate in labor and delivery call coverage.
Perform appropriate obstetric procedures.
Collaborate with nursing, anesthesia, pediatrics, and other clinical teams.
Gynecologic Care
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat common and complex gynecologic conditions.
Perform comprehensive patient consultations and examinations.
Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
Order, review, and interpret diagnostic testing.
Provide routine and complex gynecologic care.
Educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, procedures, and preventive care.
Surgical & Procedural Care
Perform gynecologic and obstetric procedures and surgeries within the physician's scope of practice.
Utilize advanced gynecologic surgical skills as appropriate.
Apply minimally invasive surgical techniques when clinically indicated and consistent with training and expertise.
Provide appropriate preoperative and postoperative management.
Quality & Clinical Documentation
Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
Follow evidence-based clinical guidelines and hospital policies.
Promote patient safety and high-quality clinical outcomes.
Participate in departmental quality-improvement initiatives.
Contribute to clinical best practices and continuous improvement.
Collaboration
Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, APPs, and other healthcare professionals.
Participate in departmental activities and hospital committees as needed.
Support patient education and community outreach.
Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients and families.

Qualifications

Qualifications
MD or DO degree
Completion of an accredited Obstetrics & Gynecology residency
Board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
Demonstrated experience in prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care
Strong general gynecology clinical experience
Proficiency in gynecologic surgery and procedures
Experience or training in minimally invasive gynecologic techniques preferred
Current unrestricted New York State medical license or eligibility to obtain one
Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary hospital environment
Commitment to evidence-based medicine, patient safety, and quality improvement
Willingness to participate in labor and delivery call coverage
