Locum OB/GYN Physician Opportunity | Ohio

A leading healthcare organization in Ohio is seeking a Board-Certified OB/GYN Physician to join a well-established inpatient women's health team through a Locum-to-Permanent opportunity. This position offers a consistent schedule, a collaborative clinical environment, and the potential for long-term placement.

Position Highlights

• Locum-to-Perm opportunity
• Inpatient OB/GYN setting
• Ongoing coverage beginning January 2027
• Flexible 12-hour or 24-hour shifts
• Day shifts: 7am-7pm
• Night shifts: 7pm-7am
• Approximately 8-12 shifts per month
• Epic EMR
• Collaborative multidisciplinary team environment
• Coverage for labor & delivery, inpatient OB/GYN care, consultations, and obstetric emergencies

Clinical Responsibilities

• Manage labor and delivery services
• Perform vaginal and Cesarean deliveries
• Provide inpatient OB/GYN consultations
• Handle obstetric emergencies
• Perform gynecologic surgical procedures
• Collaborate with nursing and support staff
• Educate patients on prenatal, postpartum, and women's health care
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation

Facility Overview

• 260-bed acute care hospital
• Level II Nursery
• Approximately 1,500 births annually
• Dedicated OB/GYN unit with strong clinical support
• 6 RNs supporting the department

Requirements

• Board Certified OB/GYN
• Active Ohio medical license or IMLC eligibility
• BLS certification
• Experience with:
  • Vaginal deliveries
  • C-sections
  • High- and low-risk pregnancies
  • Obstetric emergencies
  • Multiple births
  • VBACs
  • Gynecologic surgical procedures
