Position: OB/GYN Physician

Location: MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena (1501 W Chisholm St, Alpena, MI 49707)

Job Type: Contract / C2C (Temporary)

Duration: 3-month contract (with flexible shift selection from the available dates below)

Compensation: $6,500 USD/day all-inclusive (excluding travel)

Orientation Rate: Flat rate of $500 for $\le$ 4 hours; $1,000 for orientations exceeding 4 hours (1 day of orientation required prior to the first shift).

Providers can choose from the following 24-hour call shifts (Clinic is optional; Clinic schedule runs Monday–Thursday from 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, and Friday from 7:30 AM – Noon):

  • October 15 (7:00 AM) – October 17 (7:00 AM)

  • October 22 (7:00 AM) – October 23 (7:00 AM)

  • December 10 (7:00 AM) – December 11 (7:00 AM)

• 2027:

  • January 7 – 8 | January 11 – 13 | January 14 – 15 | January 18 – 22 | January 25 – 27 | January 28 – 29

  • February 2 – 3 | February 11 – 15 | February 25 – 26

Key Responsibilities & Clinical Scope

• Specialty: Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN)

• Clinic Volume: Approximately 2 patients per hour (depending on appointment length)

• Clinical Support: 3 scheduled nurses per shift, plus a midwife to assist with call coverage.

• Required Procedures & Cases:

  • C-Sections

  • Suction D&C

  • Laparoscopy

  • Tubal Ligations

  • Circumcisions

  • Reading NSTs (Non-Stress Tests)

• Charting & Dictation: EPIC / Dragon

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO). All medical schools must be on the California Approved List.

• Residency/Fellowship: ACGME approved.

• Licensure: Active Michigan license preferred; Open to considering IMLC (Interstate Medical Licensure Compact) letter of qualification.

• Board Status: Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years.

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of professional work experience.

• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and DEA/CSR registration.

• Case Logs: Must be able to produce case/patient logs demonstrating 50 deliveries and 25 GYN procedures within the last 12 months.

• Background: Clean NPDB and OIG search; no large malpractice issues.

• References: Three professional references from colleagues who have worked with the provider within the last 18 months.
