Locums – Hartsville, South Carolina OB/GYN Job

Start Date

• ASAP

• Coverage anticipated to begin sometime in October and continue through the remainder of the year

Coverage

• Assigned/unassigned patients

• 24-hour call shifts

• 10-minute call response time required

• Weekend 24-hour call coverage may be required

• Provider will cover hospital and clinic responsibilities simultaneously

Clinic Schedule

• Monday–Thursday: 8:30 AM–5:00 PM

• Friday: 8:30 AM–12:00 PM

• Each provider has specific OB clinic days

• Approximately 15–25 patients per provider per day

• Ultrasound available in clinic

Hospital Details

• 116-bed hospital

• Level III Trauma Center

• Pediatric Trauma Level II

• Level II nursery

• Infants weighing less than 1,500 grams are transferred to a higher level of care

• Hospital does not have a designated pediatric level of care

• Approximately 540 deliveries annually

• Average daily OB volume: approximately 2 patients

Call & GYN Coverage

• 24-hour call

• Emergency GYN surgeries

• GYN consults from the ED

• Weekend call may be required

Scope of Practice

• General OB/GYN coverage in both outpatient and inpatient settings

• Preferred experience/training in robotic-assisted surgery

• Attached Delineation of Privileges available for review

Qualifications

• M.D. or D.O.

• Board Certified OB/GYN

• Successful completion of an approved residency training program in Obstetrics and Gynecology

• Active South Carolina license

• Fellowship preferred

• Applicants for initial appointment must demonstrate:

  • At least 25 deliveries, including at least 5 C-sections, within the past 12 months; or successful completion of an approved residency

  • At least 25 gynecological surgical procedures, including 5 major abdominal cases, within the past 12 months; or successful completion of an approved residency
