Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center in Hartsville, SC needs a general OB/GYN for combined outpatient/inpatient coverage, ASAP start, ongoing, October through the rest of the year. $235/hour clinic, $2,300 per 24-hour call day, $235/hr callback.

Job Responsibilities

Clinic Monday-Thursday 8:30-5, Friday 8:30-12, 15-25 patients a day, ultrasound in clinic, each provider has specific OB days. Hospital on track for about 540 deliveries a year, roughly 2 OB patients a day, 116-bed facility, Level 2 nursery (infants under 1,500g are transferred to a higher level of care). GYN coverage includes emergency GYN surgeries and ED consults. Both hospital and clinic responsibilities run concurrently, with possible weekend call. 24-hour call shifts. Robotic-assisted surgery training preferred. Chart in Athena and Meditech.

Qualifications

Board certified MD or DO, completed an approved OB/GYN residency. Active South Carolina license required, cannot wait on licensure. Fellowship preferred. Must demonstrate at least 25 deliveries (including 5 C-sections) and 25 gynecological surgical procedures (including 5 major abdominal cases) in the past 12 months, or recent residency completion. Credentialing runs approximately 30 days, notably fast, temp privileges available.

Working Hours

Clinic M-Th 8:30-5, Fri 8:30-12. 24-hour call shifts, possible weekend call.

Skills

General OB/GYN, vaginal and cesarean delivery, GYN surgery, robotic-assisted surgery a plus, ED GYN consults.
