Locums – Pomona, New Jersey OB/GYN Hospitalist Job

Start Date:

• ASAP

Position Overview:

• Hospital-based laborist-style role focused exclusively on inpatient labor and delivery coverage
• Approximately 36 hours per week
• Support hospital-based women's services until a permanent physician is hired
• Manage laboring patients, perform cesarean sections, oversee inductions, and respond to gynecological emergencies

Schedule:

• Monday–Friday coverage
• 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
• 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
• No call coverage required

Practice Setting:

• Inpatient/Hospital-Based Practice
• Level III Trauma Facility
• Labor and Delivery patients only

Patient Volume:

• Average daily census varies from 1–9 laboring patients
• Average of 3 cesarean sections per day

Clinical Requirements:

• Experience managing labor and delivery patients
• Labor floor management experience
• Experience with patient inductions
• Experience managing gynecological emergencies presenting through the Emergency Department
• Experience providing inpatient gynecological consultations

Procedures & Responsibilities:

• Labor floor management
• Inductions
• Cesarean sections
• Gynecological emergency care
• Inpatient gynecological consultations

EMR:

• Cerner / Oracle

Requirements:

• Board Certified in OB/GYN
• Active New Jersey license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• NRP certification
