Position Overview
An OB/GYN Locum Tenens opportunity is available in NJ, providing inpatient Labor & Delivery coverage. The facility is seeking a Board-Certified OB/GYN with experience in hospital-based obstetrical care, labor floor management, and gynecologic emergency coverage.
Coverage & Schedule
Ongoing coverage needed until a permanent provider is hired
Approximately 36 hours per week
Monday-Friday coverage
Mix of day and night shifts
Day Shift: 7:00 AM-7:00 PM
Night Shift: 7:00 PM-7:00 AM
No call coverage required
One full-time provider needed
Multiple providers may be considered to fulfill the coverage need

Level III Trauma Facility
100% inpatient coverage
Patient Volume
Labor & Delivery patients only
Average daily census: 1-9 laboring patients
Approximately 3 C-sections per day
Clinical Responsibilities
Labor & Delivery management
Labor floor management
Patient inductions
Cesarean sections
Gynecological emergency care through the ED
Inpatient gynecological consultations
EMR
Cerner / Oracle
Credentialing
Estimated credentialing timeframe: approximately 3 months
Temporary privileges available
Leadership & Teaching
No leadership responsibilities
No teaching requirements
Requirements
Board Certified in OB/GYN - Required
Updated CV with no gaps exceeding 30 days in education or employment - Required
Earliest available start date - Required
Current NJ license or willingness to obtain - Required
NPDB self-query dated within 30 days - Required
BLS
ACLS
