Description
Noor Locums is seeking a Board Certified Obstetrics/Gynecology physician for ongoing locum tenens coverage.
This opportunity combines outpatient clinic, hospital and Labor & Delivery coverage in a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital. The schedule requires weekday clinic coverage with 24-hour availability for hospital emergencies and labor and delivery, along with weekend call coverage.
The physician will provide full-scope General OB/GYN care while working alongside another OBGYN who is available for call coverage.
Highlights
- Clinic: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Job Responsibilities
See patients in the outpatient clinic
Provide inpatient and Labor & Delivery coverage
Manage obstetric patients and respond to L&D needs
Provide 24-hour weekday availability for hospital emergencies while covering clinic
Participate in first- or second-call coverage
Provide weekend 24-hour call coverage
Evaluate and manage patients presenting through the Emergency Department
Perform full-scope General OB/GYN procedures within the physician's privileges
Collaborate with the second OBGYN, Emergency Department and hospitalist teams
Document patient care in Epic
Qualifications
Active Alaska medical license required or ability and willingness to obtain one
BLS certification required
Epic EMR experience required
Full-scope General OB/GYN experience
Recent clinical activity and case experience appropriate to the requested scope of practice
Comfortable providing both inpatient and outpatient care
Comfortable with Labor & Delivery coverage and obstetric emergencies
Working Hours
Monday–Friday
8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Weekday Call:
24-hour availability while covering clinic, including Labor & Delivery and hospital emergencies
Weekend Call:
24-hour Saturday/Sunday call
Coverage Pattern:
Approximately 1 week per month, with call generally arranged in 2–3 day stretches and clinic coverage incorporated into the schedule.
Patient Volume:
Approximately 10 clinic patients per day
Approximately 0–2 Labor & Delivery patients per day
