Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg, VA needs an OB/GYN physician for 24-hour call coverage, ASAP start, ongoing contract while the team recruits a permanent physician. $2,200 per 24-hour call day, $300/hr callback, $200/hr clinic (when applicable), $475/night for weeknight call. 12 dates already confirmed between October and November, with room for additional availability.

Job Responsibilities

Inpatient 24-hour call shifts, 9am-9am, generally not restricted to the hospital. On rare occasions, if primary inpatient laborist coverage isn't available, you may be asked to cover a hospital-restricted laborist/24-hour shift (a backup OB/GYN is always available in that case). Weekend call runs Friday 9am through Monday 9am. Full scope: vaginal and cesarean delivery, circumcision, hysteroscopy, hysterectomy, ovarian cystectomy, D&C, and management of missed or incomplete abortion. Rare emergent GYN cases. About 5 weeknight callbacks and 4 weekend admissions on average. Support from midwives and OBHG coverage for non-primary call. 2 ORs in L&D, Epic EMR.

Qualifications

Board certified in OB/GYN required. Active Virginia license required, cannot wait on licensure. DEA required, ACLS/BLS preferred.

Working Hours

24-hour call shifts, 9am-9am. Confirmed dates: 10/6, 10/12, 10/15, 10/20, 10/22, 10/23, 10/24, 10/25, 10/28, 10/30, 11/3, 11/5. Additional dates welcomed based on your availability.
