Job description
An acute care hospital in Harrisonburg, Virginia, is seeking a Board-Certified OB/GYN physician for ongoing inpatient locum coverage.
Position Highlights
• Scheduled 24-hour shifts from 9:00 a.m.–9:00 a.m.
• Epic EMR
• Midwife and OBHG support
• Two operating rooms within Labor and Delivery
• No teaching or research responsibilities
Clinical Scope
• Labor and delivery
• Vaginal deliveries
• Cesarean sections
• Rounding and admissions
• Inpatient consultations
• D&C and hysteroscopy
• Hysterectomy and ovarian cystectomy
• Circumcisions
• Management of missed or incomplete abortions
• Rare emergent gynecology cases
Requirements
• Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Active Virginia medical license
• Active DEA registration
• ACLS and BLS preferred
• Comfortable with 24-hour inpatient laborist and primary call coverage
