What You’ll Do:
- Provide on-call obstetric care, including routine and complicated deliveries such as C-sections, Breech, and multiple births
- Perform vaginal deliveries, low-forceps delivery, and repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
- Make decisions regarding C-section deliveries and VBACs
- Collaborate with midwives managing their own patients and providing back-up support
- Utilize the EPIC EMR for documentation
- Participate in patient assessments and management for adult obstetric patients in an inpatient setting
- Assist with labor and delivery triage visits and onsite lab and ultrasound procedures
What You Need:
- Licensed or willing to obtain KY medical license
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in OB/GYN (preferred)
- Previous OB/GYN delivery experience preferred
- Ability to handle both routine and complicated obstetric cases efficiently
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
About the Assignment:
This role is based at a leading hospital in Paducah, KY, with a Level II nursery caring for 700–800 deliveries annually. The facility offers onsite labs and ultrasound, and midwives will manage their own patients during deliveries. The provider will participate in on-call coverage for OB/GYN emergencies, including labor, delivery, and postpartum care. The facility's supportive environment allows providers to deliver high-quality care in a low-volume, patient-focused setting.Compliance:
