Job Details

• Position: Locum Tenens OB/GYN Physician
• Location: Paducah, KY
• Setting: Inpatient, hospital-based obstetrics/gynecology coverage
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $6,270 - $7,420
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: As soon as credentialed
• Shift Duration: 12-hour days
• Call Coverage: 24-hour beeper/phone call, 7a-7a
• Schedule: Approximately 6-7 shifts per month with potential for additional coverage
• EMR: EPIC
• Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 90 days, with possible expedited review based on need

Job Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Active Kentucky medical license or active IMLC required
• BLS certification required
• DEA registration required
• At least 1 year of recent OB/GYN physician experience required
• Must be available for the listed coverage dates
• Strong comfort with inpatient labor and delivery call coverage
• Ability to collaborate effectively with midwives, nursing staff, and the care team

Responsibilities

• Provide OB/GYN call coverage for inpatient and labor and delivery needs
• Manage routine deliveries and vaginal deliveries, including low forceps when appropriate
• Support decision-making for C-sections and manage complicated deliveries
• Handle C-sections for breech presentations, multiple births, abruptions, and other urgent situations
• Repair 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
• Provide GYN call coverage as needed
• Work closely with the care team to support safe, timely patient care
