Obstetrician and Gynecologist (OB/GYN) Physician

Our client, a reputable healthcare organization serving a diverse community, is hiring an Obstetrician and Gynecologist (OB/GYN) Physician to join their dynamic team. This opportunity offers a vital role in delivering comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care within a structured, hospital-based environment, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes and collaborative practice.

Responsibilities:

• Provide obstetric and gynecological services in both hospital and outpatient settings in Port Jefferson and Riverhead.
• Participate in the on-call rotation, approximately 1 in 9, with responsibilities primarily consisting of planned C-sections and phone consultations.
• Deliver patient care in clinics from Monday through Friday, with flexibility to work across multiple locations, including Patchogue and Babylon.
• Collaborate with hospitalists at St. Charles and Southside Northwell facilities to coordinate patient care.
• Assist with new patient intake, continuity of care, and follow-up management.
• Support departmental initiatives for quality improvement, patient safety, and compliance.

Requirements:

• Minimum MD or DO degree with obstetrics and gynecology specialization.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of New York.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as an OBGYN; new graduates with exceptional clinical rotations will be considered.
• Demonstrated proficiency in obstetric ultrasound, surgical procedures, and patient management.
• Good communication skills, teamwork orientation, and ability to adapt to multiple clinical settings.
• Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology from an accredited board.
• Ability to be flexible regarding locations and work arrangements.
• Prior experience with hospitalist services and planned cesarean sections preferred.
