Full-Scope OB/GYN Physician Opportunity in Southwest Florida
A community-focused healthcare organization in Southwest Florida is seeking a compassionate and highly skilled OB/GYN Physician to provide comprehensive women's healthcare to adult patients.
This opportunity offers a full-scope OB/GYN practice, including prenatal care, hospital deliveries, cesarean sections, routine gynecologic care, preventive services, and gynecologic surgery.
The physician will collaborate with OB/GYN providers, advanced practice providers, nurses, hospital personnel, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated, patient-centered care to a diverse community.
Job Responsibilities
Perform examinations, evaluations, and consultations
Provide prenatal and routine gynecologic care
Manage pregnancies and perform hospital deliveries
Perform cesarean sections and appropriate obstetric procedures
Perform gynecologic surgical procedures
Diagnose and treat diseases, disorders, and abnormal conditions
Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results
Prescribe and administer medications and treatments
Provide preventive-care counseling
Educate patients and families regarding treatment and preventive care
Supervise clinical personnel as assigned
Participate in scheduled office and hospital coverage
Maintain accurate and timely medical records
Maintain required licenses, certifications, credentials, and privileges
Collaborate with healthcare providers and hospital personnel
Participate in required meetings and clinic coverage
Meet applicable specialty productivity expectations
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited medical school
Completion of an accredited OB/GYN residency program
Successful completion of required residency training
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
Active Florida medical license
Ability to obtain and maintain required hospital privileges
Ability to provide both outpatient and hospital-based OB/GYN care
Strong clinical judgment and patient-care skills
Strong surgical and procedural abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
English/Spanish bilingual skills
Experience working with diverse patient populations
Multicultural healthcare experience
Comprehensive outpatient and hospital-based OB/GYN experience
Broad obstetric and gynecologic procedural experience
Working Hours
The role includes a combination of:
Office-based OB/GYN care
Hospital-based obstetric care
Prenatal and routine gynecologic visits
Scheduled hospital coverage
Hospital deliveries
Evening clinic coverage as needed
Weekend clinic coverage as needed
Required staff meetings
