Locums | OB/GYN | Northern Michigan (MI license required) Why This Role

  • 3-6 days per month
  • 24-hour call-only coverage
  • Low-volume inpatient setting
  • Temporary privileges available
  • Ongoing coverage need
Assignment Details Start/end: As soon as credentialed; ongoing Schedule: Approximately 3-6 days/month; 24-hour call, typically 7am-7am Call: Beeper/phone call; approximately 1:5 rotation Coverage type: Inpatient call only Volume: ~2-5 patients/day depending on census and acuity Setting: 100% hospital-based rural practice; coverage across Gaylord, Cadillac and Charlevoix Support: Independent practice with minimal supervision EMR: Oracle Credentialing: ~90 days; temporary privileges available Clinical Details Required scope: Broad inpatient OB/GYN Required scope: Routine vaginal deliveries Required scope: Cesarean sections Required scope: Management of obstetric emergencies Must be comfortable practicing independently in a rural setting Must be willing to provide coverage at all three locations Requirements Board certified in OB/GYN License: Active MI license required at submission BLS, ACLS, PALS, EFM and NRP Active DEA Compensation Rate negotiable, open to your number Malpractice provided Lodging, mileage and rental car reimbursed
