A rural hospital system spanning three northern Michigan communities (Gaylord, Cadillac, and Charlevoix) needs independent OB/GYN call coverage to help share a heavy call burden. 2 providers needed. 3-6 days a month, 24-hour call (typically 7a-7a), 1:5 call ratio. $1,750 per 24-hour call shift, $325/hr callback, 2 hours gratis. Expected total per shift typically runs $3,000-$3,700+ depending on callback volume.

Job Responsibilities

Provide independent inpatient OB/GYN call coverage across all three sites, routine vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and management of obstetric emergencies. 100% inpatient/hospital-based, Trauma Level I and II facilities. Average 2-5 patients per day depending on census and acuity, adult population. Chart in Oracle.

Qualifications

Board certified in OB/GYN required. Active Michigan license required at time of submission, candidates requiring licensure will not be considered. BLS, ACLS, PALS, EFM, NRP, and DEA required at offer. Clean malpractice history required, no exceptions. Broad scope OB/GYN experience including routine deliveries, C-sections, and obstetric emergencies in a rural setting required. Michigan residents preferred. Credentialing runs approximately 90 days, temp privileges available.

Working Hours

3-6 days per month, 24-hour call shifts typically 7am-7am, days of week vary. Must be willing to cover all three locations: Gaylord, Cadillac, and Charlevoix.
