Job Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to patients.
Manage patients throughout prenatal, antepartum, labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
Perform and manage vaginal and Cesarean deliveries.
Provide inpatient and outpatient OB/GYN services.
Evaluate and treat a broad range of general gynecologic conditions.
Perform appropriate gynecologic procedures and surgeries.
Provide minimally invasive/laparoscopic surgical care when applicable.
Manage high-risk and complicated pregnancies as appropriate to the practice.
Respond to and manage OB/GYN emergencies.
Participate in hospital call and obstetric coverage.
Collaborate with nurses, advanced practice providers, specialists, and other members of the care team.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records.
Provide patient education, counseling, and evidence-based treatment recommendations.
Participate in quality, safety, and other clinical/organizational initiatives.
Maintain required medical licensure, board certification/eligibility, hospital privileges, and credentialing.

Qualifications

Board-certified or board-eligible OB/GYN physicians seeking a full-time opportunity.
Residents completing training and experienced physicians open to an established practice.
Candidates with broad obstetric and gynecologic experience aligned to the final case mix.
Physicians in Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, Arkansas, Alabama, and the broader Gulf South.
Candidates with Louisiana, military, family, training, or rural/regional-community ties.
J-1 physicians whose waiver timelines align with the opportunity.

Working Hours

Skills

MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
Completion of an OB/GYN residency program.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
ABOG certification/eligibility preferred or required, depending on client requirements.
5+ years of clinical OB/GYN experience preferred.
Strong experience in general obstetrics and gynecology.
Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience.
Experience performing vaginal and Cesarean deliveries.
Experience managing high-risk pregnancies and obstetric emergencies.
Strong gynecologic surgical and procedural skills.
Experience with laparoscopic/minimally invasive surgery preferred.
Strong inpatient and outpatient clinical experience.
Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and patient-centered care skills.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Experience with EMR/EHR systems.
Active U.S. medical license or eligibility to obtain Louisiana medical licensure.
Ability to obtain and maintain hospital privileges.
Willingness to participate in call coverage and hospital-based responsibilities.
