Position Overview
An OB/GYN Locum opportunity is available to support ongoing call coverage needs due to a lack of providers available to share the current call burden. This position offers hospital-based inpatient coverage in a rural practice setting and requires an independently practicing OB/GYN physician comfortable managing a broad scope of obstetrical and gynecological care.
Coverage Details
Coverage needed approximately 3 to 6 days per month
24-hour call coverage, typically from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Beeper/phone call coverage
Call ratio of 1:5
Average callback volume varies
Two providers needed
Practice Setting
100% Inpatient/Hospital-Based Practice
Trauma Level I and Level II facilities
Patient Population
Adult patients
Average daily patient volume of 2 to 5 patients, depending on census and acuity
Specialty Experience
Board Certified OB/GYN required
Broad scope OB/GYN experience
Comfortable practicing independently in a rural setting
Ability to manage routine deliveries
Ability to perform cesarean sections
Ability to manage obstetric emergencies
