Start Date: ASAP upon completion of credentialing
Position Overview
A community health center on California’s Central Coast is seeking an OB/GYN physician for a full-scope opportunity combining outpatient clinic care with hospital-based OB coverage.
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM clinic
- Approximately 5–6 24-hour call shifts per month
- Call runs 7:30 AM–7:30 AM
- Call may fall on any day of the week
- Post-call day off following each 24-hour call
- Approximately 20–24 patients per clinic day
- Approximately 3–4 deliveries per call shift
Clinical Scope
Outpatient: Endometrial biopsies, Nexplanon, IUDs, colposcopy, and LEEP
Inpatient/Surgical: C-sections, D&C, hysterectomy, tubal ligation, polypectomy, myomectomy, and endometrial ablation
Providers should be comfortable managing high-risk deliveries and VBACs.
Hospital Support
- 191-bed hospital
- Level III NICU
- In-house anesthesiology
- Hospitalists and OB residents available
- Dedicated sleep room for providers
- Approximately 28% C-section rate
Requirements
- BC/BE OB/GYN
- California License
- Experience with high-risk OB and VBACs
Preferred: Da Vinci robotic surgery and circumcision experience
EMR: Athena (clinic) / Cerner (hospital)
