Job description
A top academic hospital in Brooklyn is seeking a dedicated professional for a dynamic role in our ObGyn Hospitalist department. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a high-volume, high-acuity setting with a diverse patient population.
Responsibilities
- Total of 14 12-hour shifts per month, with the flexibility to choose 24-hour shifts if preferred.
- Includes 14 clinical shifts and 1 administrative shift per month, the latter of which can be completed in the office or from home.
- Work alongside a team of 6 hospitalists and a lead in a Level 3 NICU with 24/7 Maternal Fetal Medicine and Ob-Anesthesia Coverage.
- Primarily responsible for triage through the Emergency Department, supported by CNMs, PAs, and residents.
- Approximately 29 patients come through the unit during a 24-hour shift, to be managed by 2 attending hospitalists, private practice physicians, and ancillary staff.
- Access to 2 DaVinci robots for surgical cases as needed from triage.
- Separate faculty practice handles outpatient care, labor/delivery, and coverage for private practice vacations.

Requirements
- Residency training in ObGyn required.
- New York License required.
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility required.
