Job description
A medical center in North Dakota is seeking a Locum Tenens OB/GYN Physician for short-term inpatient coverage. This opportunity is ideal for physicians seeking a full-scope obstetrics and gynecology assignment that includes labor and delivery, inpatient rounding, surgical procedures, and 24-hour call coverage.
The selected physician will provide comprehensive women's health services, manage labor and delivery patients, respond to urgent obstetrical and gynecological cases, and perform both routine and surgical OB/GYN procedures. The facility maintains a steady delivery volume and offers a collaborative practice environment with physician support.
Job Responsibilities
Manage labor and delivery patients
Perform vaginal deliveries and Cesarean sections
Round on hospitalized OB/GYN patients
Evaluate urgent OB/GYN consultations from the emergency department
Perform gynecologic surgical procedures as clinically indicated
Supervise clinical staff and advanced practice providers as appropriate
Complete medical documentation and charting in a timely manner
Participate in quality assurance, credentialing, and peer review activities
Provide 24-hour call coverage throughout the assignment
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
Active U.S. Medical License or ability to obtain licensure
Current DEA registration
Experience practicing full-scope OB/GYN
Comfortable managing inpatient obstetrics and gynecology independently
Working Hours
Coverage Dates: Late December through Early January
Clinic Hours: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Approximately 2-week assignment
Average Callback Hours: 7.5 per shift
