This well-established medical facility serves as a comprehensive healthcare resource for the southeast Missouri region, offering a full range of obstetrics and gynecology services. The 18-bed department is supported by robust 24/7 staffing including CRNAs, respiratory therapists, first assist surgical personnel, and dedicated L&D nursing staff, ensuring providers have the resources needed to deliver exceptional patient care.Opportunity:
Physician - Obstetrics and GynecologyJob Details:
- Locum Tenens assignment covering 20 days per month inclusive of clinic and call responsibilities
- 24-hour call shifts with a 1:3 call ratio and 3 midwife backup support providers available as scheduled
- Facility performs approximately 600 deliveries annually
- Handle 0-8 patient encounters per shift
- Manage both low and high risk pregnancies
- Perform FHR interpretation including NST/CST/FSE
- Provide routine and complicated deliveries including vaginal and cesarean sections
- Manage complex delivery situations including multiple births and abruptions
- Perform decision-making for c-sections
- Provide surgical gynecology services including major operative procedures such as ectopic pregnancy management, ovary removal, and cystectomy
- Respond to OB/GYN emergency call patient consults
- Active Missouri license or IMLC required
- Board certification required with ACLS, ATLS, and BLS certifications
- Credentialing timeframe approximately 90 days
